Documentary-13th

A recent documentary I have watched was 13th by film maker Ava DuVernay. This film has stuck to mentor only because of its powerful message but because of its various documentary styles as well. The film used many different documentary modes including expository , poetic mode and even participatory mode. I enjoy thus film because the filmmaker used these different modes to go deeper into the story of the reality of minorities , especially black people in America and how hard it is for them to survive. That is a subject very dear to me and I think this documentary opened up millions of eyes across America. Overall I think this is a really cool documentary and recommend everyone to watch it !
